The Brewing Tempests
The last of Pug’s young loves, the two were less lovers, and more two angry souls looking for sexual opium. They were physical in every sense and rarely spoke an affectionate word. She was a little unstable, much like his mother, which may explain why he never got close to her in any sense other than to lay with her, and to speak the truth he was a little frightened of her. Their agreement would come to a halt in short order, not because either had the foresight to leave the other, but because he had received his orders and was to join his unit. Within weeks of his leaving, she discovered her pregnancy. She never slept with another while she was with him. He would never know the child. She would hope in vain that he would return to Vesuu in order to raise his son, but before the first winter was through, the child died in his sleep. This crushed her heart and sent her mind over the edge. She would leave the village to go to the capital of the Derosi lands. She supported herself by picking pockets and scamming men out of their coin. She was quite successful. She was so successful in fact that she would earn the attention of one of the local thieve’s guild: The Free Hand. She would learn how to wield a short blade and defend herself. She would then learn to sneak on unsuspecting prey and assassinate her targets. She was good. She had a grudge against Pug, she felt that the child’s death was his fault. If she ever crosses his path, she will kill him at her earliest convenience.
